WORLD MALARIA DAY CELEBRATIONS IN CAMEROON

Malaria is a major public health problem in Cameroon with 1,479,345 confirmed cases and 2,639 deaths in 2016. Working in close partnership with the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP), Malaria No More is participating in and organizing various events including:
- Organizing radio programs to mobilize communities to join the malaria fight. The radio shows will appear on Crtv Cameroon’s national radio station with Members of parliament, Mayors, NMCP & MNM to educate over 10 million Cameroonians on different malaria topics.
- Host a capacity building workshop for media.
Train peer educators at the private company PHP on the communication and sensitization techniques for malaria. These educators will then carry out malaria educational talks with the 6800 employees of the company.
